So our Stake President takes the study abroad students for a walk each semester... and we were the lucky ones who just happened to be here during the two weeks when the lavender blooms!  It was one of the most stunning things I have ever seen to see a solid purple field on the hill.  The tall branches in the front of the picture are hops - used for making beer.  And now I understand why there is a restaurant called Hoppers... I never knew...

If you can imagine - the smell was spectacular!  Off to the side there were tents where people were getting aromatherapy massages out in the lavender fields...  And we had some lavender bread which really tasted like lavender, but still tasted good surprisingly...  And we had waffles with lavender honey... Ah, I love my life!

On this walk there was an old castle's ruins where we ate lunch and played around.

Couldn't help myself taking the picture on this walk... it was just beautiful!
